37 weeks - 7/4/2021 (Fouth of July!)

Week 37: This week the babies are the size of  canary melons.

37 weeks! Say whaaaaat?! I don’t think any of us thought the boys would still hanging out in the bump at this point. I joked around saying maybe they would make their debut on Independence Day but never really thought we’d make it that far. I guess these boys showed us!  We are all here just waiting around on them. Anytime now boys, anytime!

What's going on in there? This week they are practicing for their grand entrance by inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid, blinking and turning from side to side. The babies’ have developed more dexterity in their fingers and can now grasp onto smaller objects, like a toe or nose. They are likely sucking their thumbs a lot these days in preparation for their feeding sessions after birth.

Next appointment: 7/6/21

Feeling: Full of babies! A little sore all around but doing well.

Weight:  198 lbs

1 weeks until the 38 week mark!

Ultraound day! 6/29/21 (36w2d)

Boys look good with Apple low and head down and Banana thinking about keeping his head down while still enjoying the transverse over-the-brother position he's held most of the pregnancy. Blood pressure was great and the heart beats were good and healthy!

Banana had a "little more" fluid than the guidelines (.1 as opposed to .08 for individuals and a total of .29 instead of a max of .28, or something like that). The OB said she was not concerned but suggested a repeat Glucose test to rule out gestational diabetes as that can be a cause and put in an order for a NST (non stress test).

A nonstress test is a common prenatal test used to check on a baby's health. During a nonstress test, the baby's heart rate is monitored to see how it responds to the baby's movements. The term "nonstress" refers to the fact that nothing is done to place stress on the baby during the test.

Banana has been the most active little boy of the two so I am assuming he will pass with flying colors, especially since their heart rates have been great the entire pregnancy. And I don't feel like we will come back positive for gestational diabetes but will be relived to have conformation!

These boys just like to keep us on our toes, from the beginning.

It is crazy to think that the c-section is scheduled for two weeks from now, two weeks!! There are days I think they will hold strong and make it to that day but when I think of adding in more test it makes me realize how little time that is to get things done. Either way, as long as they come out happy and healthy little boys, we will be overjoyed to see their little squishy faces.

Always an adventure with the Rosenberg boys!

36 weeks - 6/ 27/21

Week 36: This week the babies are the size of papayas.

36 weeks! From the start these boys have been little over achievers so I am not surprised they are hanging in there for the long haul. It is all a waiting game now to see when they will come!

What's going on in there? This week the babies’ look more like an infants this week, with chubby little legs and pink-tinted skin. Their ears are extra sharp during these last few weeks. Studies show they may even recognize voices and favorite songs after birth.
